B.S., in Elementary Education - Indiana University
With nearly 20 years of experience in teaching, mentoring, and educational leadership, Theodore (Ted) brings a deep commitment to student-centered learning and teacher development. He began his career as a kindergarten teacher in a Title I school, where he quickly recognized the challenges and limitations of traditional education models. When the school transitioned into a Montessori Magnet school, Ted embraced the philosophy wholeheartedly, earning his Early Childhood Credential through the American Montessori Society.
In 2013, Ted was honored as Regional Teacher of the Year by Magnet Schools of America, a recognition that marked a turning point in his journey. He began mentoring new educators and training teachers in the Montessori method, discovering a passion for empowering fellow educators. This passion ultimately led him into school leadership, where he served as an assistant principal, coaching and supporting teachers and students alike.
Today, Ted continues to impact the field of education as an assistant professor, where he prepares the next generation of teachers through instruction, mentorship, and practical insight drawn from his diverse experiences.
Ted is also deeply involved in his church community, serving as an elder and mentor.
