Bio

Since July 2022, Dr. Lisa Coscia has been at the helm of 91ÁÔÆæâ€™s
College of Education as Dean, driving innovation and excellence. As a galvanizing
leader with a dynamic blend of visionary leadership skills and collaboration, she has
fostered a thriving community for faculty and students, rooted in experiential learning.
She has forged impactful partnerships with local, national, and international schools,
offering SEU education majors diverse, hands-on teaching opportunities. Dr. Coscia has
also connected these schools with award-winning educators and cutting-edge
resources, enhancing the educational landscape. Representing SEU on global stages,
Dr. Coscia has delivered expert training to educators and administrators at prestigious
international conferences, solidifying SEU’s reputation as a leader in education.
Through her connections with K-12 schools, she has initiated SEU networks and
partnerships supporting increased enrollment in the university. Under her guidance, the
College of Education has seen remarkable growth in two key programs: the Pathways
School of Excellence and the SEU Link Program, which serve middle school, high
school, and collegiate students with special needs in Polk County. Dr. Coscia’s
unwavering dedication continues to transform education, inspiring the next generation of
educators and advancing 91ÁÔÆæâ€™s mission.
Dr. Coscia previously served as the chair and Department of Education liaison of the
undergraduate teacher preparation programs in the College of Education. Before joining
SEU, Dr. Coscia was the Superintendent at Okinawa Christian School International in
Japan. With over 20 years of experience as a classroom teacher and school principal in
Florida, she has extensive expertise in PreK-12 education. Dr. Coscia earned her
Master’s in Educational Leadership and her Doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Nova 91ÁÔÆæ.
